About

My name is Lucas McDonald, owner of Precision Muscle Medicine. I started massage therapy in 2022 after the pandemic lockdown,, switching careers from IT work from the decade before.

I've always wanted to help people, and starting my work life in IT was an easy start as I grew up playing on the computer a mix of different computer games, doing the maintenance and keeping the machine running. After graduating High School in 2010, I began working for small businesses and eventually stepped into working for corporate offices to help people keep their devices running, keep my fingers working, and teach what I could to all the uses of the devices.

Over time I discovered that in the corporate environment I felt unable to both connect with those I helped, and teach people so they could work with their devices better. At a loss I'd been looking for a career switch for some years when the pandemic of 2020 hit.

I lost my job and had a lot of down time to finally work out what I wanted  to do for a career. After some research, and planning I took the jump in 2022 to enter massage school. I got my license later that year, and opened my own shop at the start of 2024.

I love what I do now, still getting to keep my fingers working the small tensions of the muscle, learning as much as I can about the anatomy of humans rather then machines, and being able to connect with my clients.

I can't wait to see you and hope to help people in the valley learn to relax and how to better care for their bodies.
